Baker Ready Mix & Building Materials (BRM) successfully integrated concrete production technology and best practices with diverse concrete construction experience to rapidly establish a solid presence as a concrete producer in the New Orleans metropolitan area.

BRM’s ability to successfully service residential, commercial and industrial customers has been enhanced by maintaining symbiotic relationships with key local contractors and developing strategic alliances with large local competitors. This strategy has resulted in an exponential increase in capacity while diminishing the impact of typical small and start up company limited resources and learning curves. BRM’s project experience includes Lowe’s Home Improvement Center , the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport runway rehabilitation project, USACE flood wall projects, Wal-Mart, and several Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) community redevelopments.

BRM is currently certified as a Minority or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) with the City of New Orleans (and Sewerage & Water Board), The Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO), the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and the Louisiana Unified Certification Program (Orleans Levee Board, Regional Transit Authority, Lake Front Airport, Alexandria Airport, Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development) allowing its customers to also use the value of material purchased to satisfy applicable goals for Minority and DBE utilization.

Baker Ready Mix - Facilities and Equipment

Baker Ready Mix maintains a fleet of 2006 International concrete mixer trucks (15), a 3cubic yard mini mixer (curb & patchwork), a state of the art plant capable of producing 200,000 cubic yards per year, and has the ability to secure and erect temporary plants to satisfy the needs of a project. BRM utilizes the most current safety compliance, quality control and event monitoring technology integration packages available to establish rigid control procedures further ensuring that the Company is producing and delivering a high-quality product while maintaining a highly efficient operation. The technology package includes automated batch/dispatching systems, quality control and event management monitoring, and real time GPS vehicle tracking.
